Brushed Oak with a Natural Oil Finish
The surface layer of this Oak Pallido flooring is brushed, accentuating and embracing the natural texture of the wood, whilst enhancing the grain structure within the oak. This process removes the softer grain from the surface, creating a more tactile feel underfoot and giving the floor greater visual depth and authenticity.
The nature oil finish provides protection against everyday wear and tear without compromising the colour, texture or natural feel of the oak. Unlike heavier surface coatings, the oil penetrates into the wood, allowing the timber to maintain its authentic appearance while showcasing the beautiful variation within each plank.
Kahrs recommend an extra coat of oil is applied to the floor, once laid, to help seal into the joints and maximise protection. Long Planks for a Premium Appearance

Quick and Flexible Installation
The Kahrs Oak Pallido has a click-joint for quick and easy installation. The Woodloc® 5S is Kahrs’ newest and most innovative locking joint, allowing each board to click and lock snugly into place beside its neighbour for a rigid, strong and gap-free floor, with no adhesive needed.
It can be installed as a floating floor with underlay to provide acoustic and thermal insulation as well as a built-in damp proof membrane. Kahrs Oak Pallido flooring can also be glued down in situations where this is a preferable installation method.
Kahrs Engineered Construction
The innovative multi-layer floor construction, invented by Kahrs back in 1941, creates a real oak floor that is far more durable, flexible and sustainable than if hardwood was used throughout the board construction from top to bottom.
Faster growing softwoods such as spruce and pine are used in the lower, unseen layers of the floor. These softwoods are less reactive to moisture and temperature changes than hardwoods such as oak and walnut, whilst also providing the flexibility needed for the floor to naturally expand and contract throughout the seasons without undermining the strength of the planks.
This construction makes Oak Pallido suitable for use with underfloor heating and allows more responsible use of valuable hardwood resources. Kahrs invented engineered wood flooring and remain one of the world’s most respected manufacturers more than 80 years later.
