The Kahrs Dovecot LVT floor from the XXL Impression range is a 6mm waterproof and scratch resistant vinyl floor in pale, sandy oak shades. The Kahrs XXL Impression range boasts much longer and wider plank dimensions than standard LVT flooring.
Kahrs Dovecot LVT enjoys board dimensions of 1829mm long and 220mm wide. Each board is 6mm thick with a 0.55mm wear-layer that is ceramic coated to provide scratch and dent resistance, whilst the waterproof material prevents spillages from causing any permanent damage, meaning the floor can be installed in bathrooms and kitchens as well other rooms. The Kahrs Dovecot flooring has a rigid SPC core, so not only do they feel like solid wood planks, the rigidity of the boards also makes installation much easier and makes the floor more solid and durable underfoot. Registered Embossing is an innovative technology that Kahrs use in the manufacturing of the Dovecot LVT flooring, which essentially creates a random and natural texture to the surface of the board, to replicate the look and feel of real oak.
As with all Kahrs vinyl floors, the Dovecot LVT is phthalate-free, to promote a healthy indoor environment. It comes with the innovative 5G Click-Joint system which makes installation super-easy, as each plank clicks into place besides it’s neighbour. You can do it yourself! The strong joint and rigid core provides superb stability, and the Kahrs Dovecot comes with built-in acoustic underlay which provides sound and thermal insulation and makes the floor soft to walk on. This floor is also suitable for use with underfloor heating.

Marlo Boon was not quite the cheapest out there, but what made them stand out was the fantastic customer service, and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. They were friendly, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. When the T bar did not match the rest of the floor I had ordered, they went out of their way to find a replacement that matched (involving trawling through many items in the warehouse), and took the time to call and let me know what was happening.The floor was easy to install, and looks fantastic. We oiled the floor after installation, as recommended by the Marlo Boon team, to seal into the joints and it was super easy to do and really enriched the natural grain and colour of the oak.
